Gero Matos a.k.a Dj Gero started Djaing at in early age in 1982. Born and raised in Paterson Nj he played a part in many house parties, weddings,school jams,ect. In the mid 80s he also attended many Dj Battles were he learned the skills of beat juggling and scratching. By the late 80s he played at many Clubs in the serounded area were he mixed music like Rap,House,Freestyle. In 1989 Dj Gero moved to SW Florida were he started working for WSRX 91.5 The Spark as a Radio Mix Dj. After working for almost a year at WSRX 91.5 he became a On Air Radio Personal were he learned how to host his own Radio Show . After 4 years of working on the Radio Dj Gero proceeded to Dj at many well known Clubs in SW Florida. In 1994 his intrest in the music scene even grew bigger as he started producing his own music & remixing and thats what lead him to release his own music on 12inch records in different music genre. To make a long story short he also released various CDs with many Record Labels giving him the opportunity to play in Clubs in Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Daytona Beach,Ect. In 1995 he started exploring different music genre and thats what lead him to proceed the Latin Music scene. In 2001 he started working for Latino 97.7 as a Radio mix Dj & also co hosting radio shows like El Bailoteo and El Jukeo on and off for over 4 years. He also started promoting his own events at many clubs in SW Florida. Dj Gero also has shared the stage with many artist like Fulanito, Oro Solido, Aventura,Tito Rojas, Fuego, Ivy Queen, Baby Ranks, Noriega, Toby Love, Frankie Negron,Pitbull, Voltio, Charlie Cruz, El Gran Combo, Oscar D Leon, Wisin Y Yandel, Extreem, & Many More. Currently Dj Gero is still doing what he loves to do and has now moved to Atlanta, GA were he now works for La Mega 96.5 (El Bailoteo) as a Mix Dj/ Radio Co Host and is also one of 12inch Music (Miami) audio & video remixers. We will never no whats next with Dj Gero but his always looking to explore new ideas.
